Tar and Roses Tempranillo 2012

From the winemaking team of Don Lewis and Narelle King, this is a blend of grapes grown in the warm dry region of Heathcote and the cooler Victorian Alpine region although incidentally the team do a red also that is purely sourced from Priorat.

It is perfumed with dark cherry, spice, intense herbs and earthy chocolate notes.  The herbs take on a liquorice note as it opens in the glass. Supple and warm in the mouth, the wine is has a few angles to its structure that keep you intrigued and ends with spicy note. Drink with a wild mushroom and truffe risotto and really impress your guests.
