Shaw Vineyard Estate 2009 Premium Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
The Shaw Vineyard Estate in Murrumbateman, is one of the higher vineyards in the district at 640 m. However, Graeme Shaw takes advantage of slope and aspect to deliver ripeness & freshness to his wines. This is a good softly drinking wine with a crisp finish and honeyed citrus from the semillon which dominates the blend with 85% & stonefruit characters with some additional sweet almost candied pineapple flavours from the sauvignon blanc. Enjoy this wine with some lightly salt and peppered squid or a Caesar salad with all the trimmings.
