Shaw Vineyard Estate 2008 Shiraz

Shaw Shiraz 08The Shaw Vineyard Estate in Murrumbateman, is one of the higher vineyards in the district at 640 m. However, Graeme Shaw takes advantage of slope and aspect to deliver ripeness & freshness to his wines. This is a wine with a refreshingly ripe texture without overdoing it. Still a baby by it’s colour – intensely ruby purple, it has fragrant perfumed characters of blueberry, peppery blackberries with some warm vanilla. Being from the cooler climes gives it a more medium body with some supple tannins that makes it a great match for roasted venison or kangaroo fillets.
