Morris Sparkling NV Shiraz Durif
It makes sense that one of Australia’s leading Durif producers would add some of that Durif to their Sparkling Shiraz. It is evident in the dense plum colour and adds plummy floral characters to the nose and palate that complements the spicy blackcurrant Shiraz. The wine
is richly concentrated with a creamy mousse and a elegant velvety texture without being heavy. Some apparent time in oak, some balancing sugar and then up to 18 months on lees has produced a soft roundness. However, it still has the acid structure to be refreshing and to be able to work very well with food. Be sure to put this one on your celebratory list.
