Katnook Estate Founder’s Block 08 Cabernet Sauvignon

Another cracker from the Katnook team renowned for their consistently good reds from Coonawarra. Founder’s Block is the introductory tier and is a good source of excellent value wines that are approachable, food friendly & more importantly gluggable.  There has been a real effort to keep this wine ‘real’ with around a quarter of it finding it’s way into barrels to give the wine enough support & structure so it is not a fruit bomb.

Ripe dark brambly blackberry, olives & a hint of mint chocolate that says ‘Coonawarra’. It is dry, medium bodied with plush ripe fruit & soft tannins. A generous wine for taking around to friends to share over a casual meal.
