Good Food & Wine Show

It is time again for the Good Food & Wine Show around Australia.  A time that I always look forward to as I get to taste widely & chat to the winemakers…. until the crowds get too rowdy.  I then stroll through the food stalls or catch a celebrity cooking seminar.

There are not many opportunities in Australia to get access to this many wineries in one place, even for someone in ‘the trade’.  While there are a few of the larger wine companies in attendance in Sydney, however there are plenty of smaller wineries such as; Majella, O’Leary Walker, Bleasdale Vineyards, Di Giorgio Family Wines, Petersons, Soul Growers, Tamburlaine & Tulloch just to name a few.

Nor do you often get to join some of Australia’s leading wine experts in their masterclass sessions at the Riedel Decanter Bar & Masterclass sessions.

My recommendation – just get there early so that you can enjoy a more relaxed pace and get your bookings for the theatres in before they fill up.

Shows are held in all state capitals throughout the year.

Melbourne – June 1-3

Sydney – June 22-24

Perth – July 13-15

Adelaide – October 12-14

Brisbane – November 9-11

Each show has an individual exhibitor list & theatre line up, so please check the website to plan your day. This years line up includes: Rick Stein, Maggie Beer, Matt Moran, Manu Feildel – even Ainsley Harriott is popping across to liven up the Perth show.

I might even see you there!

Keep an eye out for free tickets being given away on Wine Muse.
