Displaying the aromatics of a warm summer garden, the characters of this wine could be described as a delicately herbed salad tossed with ripe apple, pear & melon with a zingy lemon dressing. It will keep your interest along its crisp clean long length. Date: 1st July 2011 Price: $18 Value: [...] There is plenty of ripe passionfruit & peach in this Sauvignon Blanc, the time in oak & on lees has also imparted a light creaminess while still keeping the varietal refreshing acidity. The softer style makes it a succulent wine to share with friends. The price is not too shabby either. Date: 9th May [...] It is crisp, dry & long without that cloying sweet fruit that you see coming through with blends that allow the Sauvignon Blanc to dominate unrelieved. Each mouthful has plenty of mid palate fruit & the wine is fuller body thanks to some careful portion & lees work. At the time of writing this [...] This is a little sweetie just in time for the silly season. Pirramimma from the Mclaren Vale has sourced fruit from Oakbank in the cool Adelaide Hills for this wine. It is not common to see a Late Harvest SB but this one is freshly bottled with floral tropical fruit characters, like a welcome [...] Pungent Elderflower & passionfruit characters with some cool climate backbone firmly in place. It is dry (I find that some of the SB’s these days have too much residual sugar) with satisfying fruit weight and length. A crisp refreshing SB to look out for. Fragrant with passionfruit, nettles, grass & white peach but this refreshing combination of ripeness and slight green characters are hung on a steely acid backbone.
