It’s less than 2 weeks until Christmas and still time to organize those last minute staff drinks. With the heat of Summer also upon us, white, rose and sparkling is the vin du jour particularly for lunch or afternoon. For whites that are on the fruity side try the Richard Hamilton Sauvignon Blanc Semillon or the Peter Lehmann Eden Valley Riesling. For those who would like a crisp Chardonnay, Barwang 2007 Chardonnay is good value with just the right amount of oak.
For a bit of a sparkle, try a chilled down Moscato or perhaps the easy drinking Four Sisters NV Chardonnay Pinot Noir or drier Yarra Burn NV Premium Cuvee.
Australia makes some nice Rose such as the Philip Shaw Pink Billy Rose, or if you prefer the sweeter style, Wolf Blass Eaglehawk Rose cannot be beaten for value.
For the die hard red drinkers, there is Silvergum Cabernet Merlot or why not try the Grant Burge Daly Road 2007 Shiraz Mourvedre as a bit of a treat.
