It is a wine that is worthy of the title, coming from Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1971 & only produced in the best vintages. In the glass, it is looking youthfully purpled hue with indulgent aromas of earthy warm spice & blackcurrant. Classic ripe Coonawarra characters of chocolate, cassis, warm cinnamon spice linger on the palate.
While this is a wine that has lots to enjoy now, I would keep it in the cellar for a little time to soften it’s firm outlook.
