Australian Labour Party Spill simplified!

A picture worth a thousand words: Off with his head ... the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, vowed not to surrender to the wishes of factional leaders who are backing his deputy, Julia Gillard. Photo: Stefan Postles (www.smh.com.au)
In wine terms the current political ‘spill’ situation is simple – Julia G is a little like a Sparkling red = which looks like it can be sweet & sometimes is, but has a not so subtle backbone, grippy tannins and really packs a punch without you knowing it.
Kevin Rudd is more like Pinot Gris = no one quite knows whether he is quite the right or left (Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio) but is quite light & sometimes the crowd pleaser & though it seems popular but not really!
Good luck!

I’m a fan of Sparkling Red but have definitely enjoyed Pinot gris
Great post, I’ve used in my latest Newsletter, with acknowledgement of course
Thanks Darby. Yes, I do enjoy both and would not spill either from a glass – but politics …..
